WHS Prevention Goals for Weber County

​

1. Provide evidence based services to prevent substance misuse & substance use disorder. ​

2. Decrease risk factors and increase protective factors related to substance use disorder.  Our current prioritized factors are:​

   1. Risk Factors:

      • Parental Attitudes Favorable to Anti-social Behavior

      • Academic Failure

      • Depressive Symptoms

   2. Protective Factors:

      • Rewards for Pro-social Behavior in the Family.

      • Rewards for Pro-social Behavior  in the Community.​

3. Reduce 30 day youth use rates of alcohol, marijuana and non medical use of prescription drugs.​

4. Reduce opioid overdose deaths.
